Wedding Minister Credentials
When
you become ordained through First Nation Ministry, your complete wedding minister
credential package includes all of the documents needed to legally
perform weddings and other ceremonies in nearly all jurisdictions.
PLEASE NOTE:
Ordination packages from many other services do not include all
of these documents, and you may either be required to pay extra for
these or risk not being legally permitted to perform marriage ceremonies
in your state. You may be placing couples that you marry in jeopardy of
having their marriage ruled null and void, causing legal
problems, added expense and embarrassment.
Your First Nation Church wedding minister
Complete Credentials Package includes a personalized certificate of
ordination (see sample, above right); a Letter of Recommendation and
Good Standing, which
is required in several jurisdictions, including New York City, Ohio and
Hawaii; your personalized credential card showing you as a licensed minister of
First Nation Church and member in good standing of the American Council
of Wedding Officiants; a First Nation Church information sheet; and
detailed information regarding the marriage laws in the primary state in which
you are licensed.
Please
note that our Basic Credentials Package
does not include a Letter of Recommendation and Good
Standing or personal ID card. If you intend to perform weddings in New York City, Ohio,
Hawaii and certain other locales, you must obtain the
Complete Credentials Package. If you are
unsure which documents are required, please consult with your local
authority (county clerk, marriage bureau or registrar) to confirm local
policy before obtaining credentials!
